The entire Contour Team would like to congratulate Neil Merrell, Vice President, and Kyle Hummel, Senior Metallurgical Engineer for completing the MTI YES Management Training Program.
The YES program is for any individual, at any level from furnace operator to the company President, who wants to go to the next level of in leadership abilities and learning how to build high-performing teams.

The YES Management Training Program is a 10-month program, where 30+ MTI member-owners, executives, and managers of all ages, attend 4 training sessions. Sessions 1, 2, and 4 provide intensive and engaging training by The Corps Group, in the areas of building high-performing teams, systems management, leadership, and dealing with change in your business. Session 3 provides interactive training on emotional intelligence in the workplace, people skills, and a creative roundtable session on daily operational issues. Participants are required to complete online training on the MTI Academy in the areas of heat treating technical knowledge, safety, and fire prevention, and supervisory skills. Over the 10 months, participants build an incredible group of peers who will become networking contacts for life.

Kyle Hummel, Senior Metallurgical Engineer, stated, “If you’re in the Heat Treat Industry and you haven’t gone through MTI’s YES Program, you’re doing yourself a disservice”. Hummel continues, “I can say without hesitation that I will be using what I’ve learned over the past ten months for the rest of my professional life”.
